What Is CC-EVAL-HAZCOM-GHS-001?
CC-EVAL-HAZCOM-GHS-001 v2.0 — HazCom / GHS Exposure Intelligence — is the Hazard Communication documentation tool built on the Compliance Crucible platform. It provides a structured, authority-bounded documentation framework that helps employers assemble a cleaner, field-ready and audit-ready hazard communication record from the manufacturer Safety Data Sheet and the actual task — capturing chemical identity and SDS acquisition evidence, the GHS Section 2 snapshot as shown on the SDS, route-of-entry context, captured SDS sections, the office Right-to-Know library record, field and task-specific attachments, a chemical inventory library, attestation, and a locked, verifiable record.
The tool uses a cockpit model: simple field-facing capture over controlled documentation, authority reference, record persistence, lock, export, and audit support. Where the domain is finite, controlled selections improve consistency; free text remains available where chemical- and site-specific detail is necessary. The tool records what the SDS and the employer provide — it does not parse, interpret, classify, or verify the SDS.

What the Tool Does Not Do
CC-EVAL-HAZCOM-GHS-001 does not perform or substitute for any of the following:
- Verifying supplier or manufacturer SDS accuracy, completeness, or currency
- Classifying a chemical or confirming a GHS classification or pictogram
- Diagnosing health effects or determining exposure risk
- Assigning, selecting, or approving respirators or other PPE
- Authorizing chemical storage, handling, transfer, or use
- Replacing the full manufacturer Safety Data Sheet
- Replacing employer HazCom training, hazard evaluation, or the written program
- Determining regulatory compliance or stating that records satisfy requirements

Proper Use Case
Example — Hazard Communication / Right-to-Know Documentation
A construction employer is building the written-program and Right-to-Know record for a chemical brought onto a project. They need a clear, reviewable record showing the chemical identity, how the SDS was acquired, the GHS snapshot as shown on the SDS, the routes of entry recorded, which SDS sections were captured, and the task context — preserved as a locked, verifiable documentation package and added to the chemical inventory library.
The tool helps the employer structure, complete, and preserve that documentation. It does not decide whether the chemical is safe to use, what PPE applies, or whether the employer's program is compliant. Those decisions remain with the employer and its competent person.
Improper Use Cases
CC-EVAL-HAZCOM-GHS-001 should not be used as any of the following:
- A statement that a chemical is safe, approved, or authorized for storage, handling, or use
- A substitute for the manufacturer Safety Data Sheet
- A GHS classification, hazard determination, or health-effects assessment
- A respirator or PPE selection or assignment
